The main reason we don't yet have a featured coin for 1582, is that we do not own, and have not recently owned or seen one in great condition. In Great Britain, Queen Elizabeth I was on the throne, and some of her coins are dated. As soon as we get a decent coin to photograph, it will appear here.
Missing Days
The dates from October 5th to October 14th inclusive never existed, due to the change from the Julian to the Gregorian calendars. This may go some small way towards explaining why we have not yet got a coin for this year!
